Bali Fashion Shoot

From the far shores of Milan's high fashion into tropical paradise Bali comes Italian fashion photographer Paulo Renftle! Flown in for an exclusive Surfer Girl photoshoot, it was a real trip for Paulo, the models and all the crew from Surfer Girl. The Surfer Girl Fun Bus drove them to various surfing hotspots around Bali for the shoot, the sun was shining and everyone had the best time ever. Paulo worked his magic into the shoot and here's Summer giving you the freshest news first!

Paulo, you've always been having glamourous fashion shoots with beautiful fashion models, Surfer Girl's fashion shoot is so different...you had to shoot by the beach at Dreamland, and even inside a shopping mall! What do you think about it all?
Surfer Girl's shooting was different from my everyday editorial fashion work, but I really loved it ! the crew was so professional and we had so much fun !

Where do you think the future of beach fashion is heading?
On the western market the beach fashion is heading on smaller bikini, like Brazilian style & designed swimmwear for sunset party in beach clubs.

Do you think surf fashion is beach fashion? (NOT a trick question)
The answer could be complicated, but if we are talking about clothes, yes, the surf fashion is part of the fashion industry, moving money as beach fashion 'cos indeed it's part of it.

I saw you out in the surf once at Kuta. It looks like your a surfing fashion photographer! Is that common? 
Well I don't know but Milan, Paris and London are not famous surf spot... Surfing and snowboard is what I really love to do in my free time.

Do you surf much when you are back in Italy?
I travel as much as I can to France and Indonesia to get the best surfing or I just go snowboarding.

Don't know if it is but, how is surfing similar to fashion photography?
Surfing and fashion photography are my passions, but are completely different.
Fashion photography is about lighting, composition, geometry, teamwork, models, clothes, postproduction and much more...Surfing is just fun and you are so close to nature and it's energy that you feel free !
