Surfer Girl rocks up to Jakarta

On  Saturday 17th June, Surfer Girl's Mega Opening party for the new mega store in Jakarta kicked off in true Surfer Girl fashion. It felt like the whole city  had shown up at La Piazza, Mal Kelapa Gading, and everyone was blown away by the awesome events.

It started with Fun in the Sun as Jakarta's best cheerleading squads competed in the Surfer Girl Cheerleading Competition. Everybody give 3 mega cheers to the winner SMUN 54! They sure had the moves for the groove. 

Then it was Delight in the Night as the Gadis Cover Girl models took the stage by storm and launched Surfer Girl's exclusive new Summer Collection 2006 . Looking gorgeous with make-up by Maybelline and grooving to the beat by super girl DJ Kana, the models looked so fresh and free! The other major surf brands and a few underground labels were on parade too, including Billabong, Rip Curl, Roxy, Emily the Strange and Paul Frank.

Just when every one thought the party couldn't get any hotter, Indonesia's mega all star band RATU hit the stage and had the huge crowd going wild, belting out all their hit songs with the people singing along. Lead singers Mulan and Maia really dig Surfer Girl's coolest new threads, so do all the girls of the city of Jakarta. 

Well, the party might be over, but you can bet the next cool event from Surfer Girl is already in the planning. Watch out for some mega fun heading your way!
